Ph.D. Candidate in Cornell University’s Department of History

National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow

Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I have been fascinated by nuclear weapons and atomic culture ever since seeing the “Fat Man” replica at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History on a fifth grade field trip. I completed a B.A. in history at Grinnell College in Iowa before heading to upstate New York for graduate school. I am currently located in Mountain View, California, where I am writing my dissertation and enjoying the daily ethnographic experience of living in Silicon Valley.
